Frank
Zarba
As a recording artist, band leader, musical agent, vocalist and musician, is no stranger
to the music scene in New England and on the East Coast. He presently has extended his repertoire internationally, in the
classical and popular arenas: with symphony orchestras, Broadway musicals, and opera companies. He also is requested to perform
at major conventions, political events, weddings and hotels.
Frank received a bachelor’s
degree from the University Mass. Boston, attended the Boston Conservatory of Music on scholarships and studied trombone with
Joseph Orosz and Double Bass with Henri Girard, both of the Boston Symphony Orchestra; he also studied lower brass instruments
with the legendary trombonist John Coffey of the Boston and NBC Symphony Orchestras. On a three year fellowship to the University
of Maryland Frank received two Graduate Degrees and matriculated at Boston University Doctoral program. His voice training
was continued at Boston Conservatory and privately with Tenore MaestroVittorio Marciano of Teatro San Carlo, of Naples Italy.
Frank made his first professional vocal debut at the State Ballroom in Boston with a big band, under the direction of his
brother, Chris Zarba.
In Washington D.C.’s Shoreham Hotel he performed and sang with the Bob Cross Orchestra.
Frank performed widely with area classical ensembles, including
the Harvard Radcliff Orchestra and the Boston Civic Symphony. He became a member of the 86th Army Band
and later assumed the position of Chief Warrant Officer for the 26th "Yankee" Division Band. He became
a member of the Ancient and Honorable Artillery Company of Massachusetts (AHAC) and as a member of that historical and patriotic
organization he has performed “The Star Spangled Banner" at Fenway Park, for the World Champion Boston Red Sox
Team. He has also performed and entertained officials and dignitaries of many foreign nations as well.
Frank most recently (March and May 2009) performed at the Teatro Mediterraneo in Naples, and in
Sulmona, Abbruzzo Italy to benefit the earthquake relief fund.
